Unlike when you are hit by a private vehicle and the claim procedure is fairly straight forward and handled by your insurance company if you are hit by a police vehicle it is rather complicated and time consuming. You are required to file a lengthy report at the station, visit a special police appraiser and file a claim against the police department yourself.

I totally blame Baloo because had he met me for that drink (non alcoholic of course) I would not have been at that intersection at the same time as that police vehicle.
