THE Way to Fly

Just took a moment to have a look at this slideshow, and would love to experience travel on this.

I remember the first (only!) time I saw a real airship - it was in Germany and I was about 6 years old at the time. It's a memory that's stayed, it was just such an awesome sight.

You were six before the Hindenberg blew up?

We might be back to airships before too long. It's going to be pretty hard to get a 747 off the ground without oil.

Yes. My real name is Methusela and I'm ancient.

I'm sure people said that of the aeroplane at one time - some even still do.

In the 30's, luxury airships were traveling from Germany to Brazil and other distant locations. Would be a good way to travel, if you were not in a big hurry.

It would be a pretty good way to travel when you are in a hurry. Would be a good way to beat the traffic in London.
