Job Needed

Postby Rosbif71 » 2nd Nov, '09, 15:38

Mrs RB is getting very bored with being a houswife.
does anyone know of any companies needing staff for general admin/reception type duties. She is on a 5 year Dependants Pass.
She speaks very good Engliah and is a native Russian speaker

whilst my information is admittedly dated, Lukoil used to have an office in the OCBC Centre, 65 Chulia Street in the CBD. i don't know if they're still in that location, but if anyone can use Russian speakers it would be them.

Sounds typically bureaucratic for embassies

Yup, and their's is only a tiny embassy. job would have been ideal as the embassy is in Raffles Place and just around the corner from my office.

yes Hotel Reservations, its what she did before we moved to Singapore.

Its not easy to find work on a Dependant's Pass and she is bored after 18months living a life of leisure.

Are you saying Mrs RB is a hotel? Or her job is a hotel? I think I'm going to stop my line of thought right there!

its one of the Orchard ROad business type hotels.
she's just happy to be back in work. and its usually easier to find a job when you are already in one

This 6 day a week thing in some hotels is uncivilised.

Bummer.

Is she interested in going (back?) to school? I'm starting back myself and at this point, looking at the work load, I have absolutely no fears of not having enough to do anymore  I think there are plenty of online based programs as well as non-online available here depending on her interests, of course.

Then she should not quit jobs just because there is a little bit of overtime required ;)
